Non-degree seeking students are students who have not been accepted in a program of study leading to a certificate or degree. Formal admission to the Graduate School is not required.
Non-degree seeking students are required to apply through GUS (oaa.uams.edu) and submit the course approval information in order to attend the requested courses. Please see below on how the application should be chosen in GUS:
You are required to include the following information in the application:
a. Prefix, Number and Name of course(s) that you might be interested in
b. Reason for taking the course
Other questions listed in the application are self reporting responses. Applications that do not include course information and reason for taking the course will not be processed.
Applications submitted through GUS will be processed as they are received.
UAMS is transitioning to Workday Student, a new student information system. Applications for the Fall 2025 will open in Workday on August 5th. Candidates will apply to the Graduate School using the new admissions application in Workday.
