Non-degree seeking students are students who have not been accepted in a program of study leading to a certificate or degree. Formal admission to the Graduate School is not required.
Non-degree seeking students are required to submit an application to the Graduate School through Workday Student.
Applications for Summer and Fall 2026 are now open.

You are required to include the following information in the application:
a. Prefix, Number and Name of course(s) that you might be interested in
b. Reason for taking the course
Other questions listed in the application are self reporting responses. Applications that do not include course information and reason for taking the course will not be processed.
AUDITING A CLASS
The process for auditing a class is to register for the class in Workday. Once enrolled, contact the registrar’s office to request to change the class from credit to audit. Tuition and fees are applicable. Be sure to check the academic calendar to view the deadline for switching from credit to audit.
Applications submitted through Workday Student will be processed in the order they are received.
Note: The UAMS employee tuition discount is not applicable to non-degree seeking students.
Completing this application does not guarantee approval for course enrollment.
If approved, students will receive notification on the next steps they will need to complete in order to register. They will also need to do the following:
- Complete Payment of Tuition and Fees
- Complete all UAMS compliance requirements, including verification of health insurance, medical exam, flu vaccination, online HIPAA training, and TB skin test
