Graduate Program in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences (GPIBS)
The Graduate Program in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences (GPIBS) has reorganized several former independent Ph.D. programs into a single GPIBS program with interdisciplinary tracks and unified admissions and a first-semester curriculum. GPIBS will also offer an MS degree.
The priority deadline for Ph.D. applications is December 1st. The final application deadline is February 1st. Applications will be accepted and reviewed following this date if there are slots available. Applications will open in the fall semester (there are no application fees). The GPIBS tracks include:
- Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Cell Biology and Physiology
- Microbiology and Immunology
- Neuroscience
- Pathobiology
- Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Experimental Therapeutics
This reorganization does not include the Clinical and Translational Sciences track.
