Graduate School’s Ph.D. in Nursing Program Stands Alone in Arkansas

Message from the Dean

Welcome to the UAMS Graduate School, home to several graduate programs leading to Graduate Certificates, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. We are excited about our new and restructured basic science program, the Graduate Program in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences (GPIBS), that after completing a common core curriculum, allows students to select among seven different tracks that include Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology and Physiology, Microbiology and Immunology, Neuroscience, Pathobiology, or Pharmacology-Toxicology and Experimental Therapeutics. In addition to GPIBS, we also have graduate programs Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics, Clinical Nutrition, Clinical and Translational Sciences, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Promotion and Prevention Research, Health Systems and Services Research, Implementation Science, Nursing Science, Pharmaceutical Science, and Regulatory Science.
