UAMS Graduate School students who anticipate graduating should submit a graduation application form and pay the graduation fee when registering for the last semester of enrollment. If the degree is not completed by the end of the semester, please contact the Office of the University Registrar. You will need to complete another graduation application, but you do not have to pay the fee again if it has already been paid. Deadlines for applying for graduation can be found on the graduation application form page.
For doctoral students, once your dissertation has been submitted to the Library, a copy of your title and signature pages will be faxed by the Library staff to the Office of the University Registrar.
Campus clearance requirements. All students should log in to GUS and review the Student Center section of GUS for any clearance items that they should complete. Please click on each item for instructions on how to clear that item and which department they should contact regarding the item. The Office of University Registrar will not be able to assist in clearing items.
The Graduate School will send information to all Graduates and Graduate Faculty regarding any commencement events.
The UAMS Graduate School confers degrees three times during the academic year in August, December, and May. Commencement is held once a year in May. All students who graduate in August, December, and May are eligible to participate in the May Commencement exercises.
