Compliance requirements are mandatory for all UAMS students. Failure to comply may result registration holds, withdrawal from your classes, and the deactivation of all UAMS accounts including email and Blackboard.
Student Health Requirements
The SEHS student health records transition to EPIC is now complete! This new version of EPIC will allow student and employee health records to be separated from patient medical records. This means that SEHS staff do not have access to UAMS patient records, and UAMS patient care staff do not have access to student and employee health records.
As of September 2024, you may no longer upload your student health records to GUS, and must now upload documents through UAMS MyChart. All students must create a MyChart account—even if you previously submitted your pre-enrollment documentation through GUS. MyChart access is required for ALL student health records, including your Pre-Enrollment requirements, annual medical screening, annual TB screening, vaccinations and all other ongoing student health requirements. Below are instructions for creating your MyChart account, along with other helpful information. Create your MyChart Account
Before you can complete required compliance tasks, you must first create your UAMS MyChart account. If you do not have a UAMS MyChart account, or need additional guidance for using MyChart, please follow the instructions in this document: https://uamshealth.com/mychart-forms/wp-content/uploads/sites/14/2024/09/STUDENT-Getting-Started-with-MyChart.pdf.
If you already have a UAMS MyChart account, you can navigate to SEHS questionnaires by accessing the menu bar and typing “questionnaire.” You do not need to complete the Pre-enrollment questionnaire if you have previously completed those required items. If you have items still In-Process, you must use the MyChart workflow to complete remaining items since GUS upload is no longer available.
Schedule your Flu Vaccination Appointment

Submitting Non-UAMS Proof of Vaccination or Requesting Exemption
If you receive your Flu vaccination at a non-UAMS clinic, or if you wish to request an exemption from the flu vaccination requirement, please follow these instructions for uploading required documents: https://uamshealth.com/mychart-forms/wp-content/uploads/sites/14/2024/09/Submitting-an-Exemption-or-Proof-of-Outside-Immunization-in-MyChart.pdf.
The Request for Medical or Religious Exemption from Vaccination form must be uploaded to MyChart following the instructions at the link above. Complete Respirator Questionnaire (if required)
This task is not required for all students and may be required at different times depending on your program of study. Tuition and Fees
- 2025-2026 Tuition and Fees – Please contact the Bursar’s Office for payment deadlines and options.
- Tuition and Payment Information – The Bursar’s Office is in charge of all tuition and fees, as well as payment options for students.
- Employee Tuition Discount – Available to degree-seeking, full-time employees. Please visit website for all policy information.
- Student Financial Services – Visit the Student Financial Services website to sign up for direct deposit and information for funds disbursement.
Student Health Insurance
- All UAMS students are required to have health insurance prior to the first week of class. Students will be required to submit verification of their insurance. Student Activities and Housing will notify students by email with verification instructions. Health insurance plans must meet minimum coverage requirements found at Student Health Insurance Policy. Students are encouraged to confirm their coverage under their existing plan of insurance prior to registration or if they do not have any existing insurance, obtain such coverage. A student academic health plan is available at Student Health Insurance.
Campus Housing
Please contact Campus Housing for availability and to complete an application in advance of your arrival to campus. You must apply for housing and be approved before you arrive to the UAMS campus. Other Important Compliance Requirements
- Flu Vaccinations — Required for all employees and students. You will be notified when to complete this requirement.
- HIPAA Training — You will receive an email notification to your UAMS.edu account after registration.
