Admission
We are excited that you will be beginning your studies here at UAMS! In order to ensure that you will be able to begin your studies in a timely manner, you’ll need to make sure that your Director of Admissions in the college where your program is housed has been in touch with the International Student Advisor regarding required admission documents needed to create your I-20 for your studies here at UAMS.
You will also need to visit our Information for New F-1 Students at UAMS section of the website to complete the immigration processing requirements that are listed there. There is also information regarding receiving your I-20 as well as reporting information.
Transferring to UAMS from another F-1 Institution
If you have been admitted to begin your studies at UAMS and are joining us from another University in the U.S., we are happy that you are joining us!
In order to transfer your SEVIS record to UAMS to begin your studies, your current DSO will need to complete our UAMS I-20 Transfer-In form. This form should be completed and sent to us at least 2 weeks prior to your SEVIS record transferring to UAMS.
You will also need to make sure that the Director of Admission in the college where your program is housed has been in touch with the International Student Advisor regarding the required admission documents needed to create your new I-20 for your studies here at UAMS.
If you have any questions regarding this process please contact Charlotte Gass (DSO) at CEGass@uams.edu.
